Pointers – Basics
Duration: 12 mins
A pointer holds the memory address of another variable.
int x = 10;
int *p = &x; // p now points to x
printf("%d\n", *p); // dereference → prints 10
Key concepts:
&address‑of operator.*dereference operator.- Pointers are typed – an
int*points to anint. - Uninitialized pointers contain garbage addresses – always initialize them to
NULL.
